What's in a name? Why, the description of the being! "Bold, Brave, Friend." Though truly our Baldwin is so much more. This suave debonair has made his entrance with a flair and has set his sights firmly on his end goal - a forever home that can not only match his huge personality but bolster him to all new heights!
Baldwin is a puppy on the cusp of becoming an adult. He's working hard on learning everything he will need to know to be the best adult dog his new family has ever seen. Already he knows his basics - sit, look, lay - and commands like stay and come are quickly being added to his resume. Kennel time means bone/Kong time. While he's not so great about making his bed when he gets up from his kennel he does know to wait patiently for mom and dad to let him out of his crate and then helpfully brings his bone or Kong to the kitchen so they can refill it for the next time he kennels up!
Being tolerant of those different from ourselves is an important trait and Baldwin is so glad his foster family is helping him learn about lots of different beings! His canine foster sister is of course amazing. She will help him chew on toys and mount the occasional search and rescue mission when a favorite bone goes missing under the couch. Cats are strange creatures. They're fluffy and sometimes sound like toys but seem to prefer to be left alone. A hard thing for a puppy but we're learning! Now humans, there are so many different types with all kinds of different noises associated with each. Baldwin is especially glad his foster family is willing to help him meet as many of these different humans as possible so he can continue to live up to the full meaning of his name.
While Baldwin is getting close to being all grown up (in his mind at least) he IS still a puppy that likes doing puppy things. Play time is the BEST, especially if there are rope toys and bones to be had. Cuddles are definitely important. Regular walking tours of the neighborhood are a must. And if you could throw in a few car rides and trips to stores that would be amazing!
There is an enormous amount of personality just waiting to be uncovered in this little package. Whoever gets to be the lucky recipient of this Bold Friend's love will truly have a gift to treasure for a lifetime!
(*Families wanting to adopt SEPR puppies under 1 year of age with small children 4 years of age and under will be reviewed on a case by case basis. We understand that raising a puppy properly takes a lot of time and with small children in a home time can be a limited commodity.)
