Smooth as butter. This boy is one big ball of goofy, slobbery love. His turkey thighs are not nearly as big as his heart.
As a youngster, Butterball is just beginning to learn what it's like being a balanced, well-mannered member of a family. He's eager to please and we know he will be a great addition to a family in no time. He has already learned "sit", "down", "come", "wait", "shake", and "look". He is hard at work learning more every day and perfecting his skills!
Butters is a high energy puppy that needs a lot of physical and mental drain, so he has been going on daily walks with a weighted pack to help him focus. He walks very well and never pulls on leash. He loves his flirt pole too!
His foster family has taken him with on all kinds of adventures and says he is a delight to explore with. He is a pro at camping and is perfecting his kayaking skills. If a nice restaurant patio is more your speed, he cleans up nicely and will be your dapper date! ALL people, big and small, are great in Butters book. Everyone is met with a lean, some sloppy kisses, and a big cartoony grin. He is truly a social butterfly that loves everyone the moment he meets them, and they love him right back! One look into his gentle eyes and they're sold.
Toys and bones are a blast to Butterball! He's learning what is/isn't appropriate to chew on in the home. But do you know what he likes even more than chewing? Being right next to his people! He is fully unaware of his size and would love nothing more than to climb into his humans lap and snuggle. He is polite, though, and will only climb up if he is invited. Otherwise he will lounge on your feet in his signature frog leg position. He just wants to be close all the time.
Butterball lives with two large canine foster siblings and gets along great with both. He thinks all the time is good for playtime and isn't shy about trying to instigate play. His foster siblings aren't always on the same page, so he's beginning to enjoy relaxing calmly with them too. He has been on a few playdates with fellow adopt-a-bulls as well and loved it!
An active family who's looking for a loving companion to share all their adventures with... A patient leader who's willing to guide him through adolescence and on to an incredible adulthood... That is this boy's dream.
He melts hearts on a daily basis, but he is still on the lookout for the toast to his Butters.
(*Families wanting to adopt SEPR puppies under 1 year of age with small children 4 years of age and under will be reviewed on a case by case basis. We understand that raising a puppy properly takes a lot of time and with small children in a home time can be a limited commodity.)
