Chanel ***ADOPTED***
Sex: Female (Spayed)
Age: 4 years
Weight: 45lbs
Color: Black and White
Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Yes
Chanel and her daughter Kiki found themselves sitting on death row in animal control. They had 1 day left before being put to sleep and luckily SEPR was able to find a foster home for one of the girls. We couldn't stand the thought of leaving one behind.. so now in a crunch Kiki is safe, but in desperate need of a foster home!!
Chanel is a beautiful girl. She has a quiet reserve about her. She will sit and watch what is going on around her. When she is comfortable in her surroundings, she shows her fun loving, goofy self! She is content to lounge beside you and watch the world go by, but when you get a toy or ball out and she is ready to play!
Chanel is fostered with other dogs. They do get along, but there is some competition for toys and treats. Her foster parents never leave toys out to avoid conflict. Toys and treats are given separately or in their kennels. Chanel would be fine in a home with a nice gentle male canine companion or as an only kid. Chanel is fostered in a home ruled by cats. She is learning to respect the cats quickly.
Chanel is a smart cookie and already knows some basic commands - sit, stay, and kennel. Training is already beginning for her. She will sit and wait for her food and treats. Chanel loves to go for walks. She walks very well on her gentle leader staying right beside you. She does not like the snow and cold. I don’t blame her! Chanel does travel well in the car. She will either look out the window, or lay on the seat and nap.
Chanel is completely house trained. She has never made a mess in the house or in her kennel. She is kenneled at night, and when her foster parents are away from home. She is quiet in her kennel and does not bark. Chanel does like to have her toys in her kennel with her.
Chanel is a very versatile dog. She would be good for an energetic family, or a person that just wanted a great all around companion. Think about adopting this honey today as she would be a great dog for a first time pit bull owner!
