Daisy - SEPR's bashful girlie! ****ADOPTED****
Meet Miss Daisy May a petite and stocky 47lb. young pup about 1 year old. She was found dumped in the gutters like a piece of trash in California. A good samaritan that ran a boarding facility decided to take Daisy in with the hopes of finding a rescue to find her a home! She was extremely thin and scared. Being a homeless pit bull in California didn’t give Daisy much of a chance for finding a rescue since the over population is at epidemic rates. She needed a miracle.. and she found one - SEPR happened to have an opening and a transporter from California was headed to South Dakota!
Daisy is fawn and white with freckles on her nose and has a very cute mild under-bite. It makes her look like she has a pouty lower lip. She is quiet, shy, submissive sweet girl. Daisy has really grown emotionally by leaps and bounds since entering the SEPR program in August! She will be a really loving sweetheart for a patient family that is willing to give her some time and affection. Daisy does great with her foster canine brothers. She would love a home with a nice submissive male companion to keep her company and teach her the ropes. She loves her crate as it is her safety zone (like most abused pets). However, Daisy's favorite spot in her foster home is quickly becoming her foster parents bed with the couch a close second place. She enjoys cuddling with her foster parents and has started to give out pit bull kisses freely!!
Daisy is house trained and crate trained. She knows sit and is currently working on come. Daisy is also learning how to walk on her gentle leader. She is not sure what to think or do with toys yet, but her foster parents say she does love to get into the “sock drawer”! Daisy doesn’t mind baths and is actually really good with them. Daisy also loves spending time outside, we are sure this is due to her previous lifestyle of living on the streets. A house with all its many noises can be scary to a young pup that has never had a home. Her foster parents lovingly refer to her as Daisy May as they say, she is “cute as a button”! Daisy has become more comfortable with all her Petco meet and greet events as well. Everyone has watched the girl truly blossom into a real dog!
Daisy has been through so much in her young life, and now deserves to be treated like a family pet that she should have always been. She will be a fantastic companion for some lucky family that is patient and willing to let Daisy open up to them. Think about opening your heart and home today… Daisy will be eternally devoted to you!!
