Mustang Sally - SEPR's mother hen! *****ADOPTED *****
SEPR is pleased to introduce Mustang Sally, aka Silly Sally, Sally Wag, or Momma Mustang as she is lovingly referred to! Mustang Sally is a beautiful young adult probably around 2-3 years old and about 55lbs. She has been a baby making machine discarded to a high kill animal control shelter when she was no longer needed. Sally has a wonderful personality and has won over everyone’s hearts! Like so many pit bulls arriving from Kansas City, Mustang Sally was heart worm positive. She is very healthy and has completed the treatment and is now heart worm negative!!!
Life's been a wild ride for her so far, but she's beginning to figure out that the days of the rodeo are over and she can hang up her hat and spurs and relax. Sally has had numerous litters of pups. We're thinking the last batch was probably late summer. She's almost got that girlish figure back. The daunting life of constantly having babies is all over now. She can chill on her pillow all by herself and not worry about what junior and the rest of the group is up to. Mustang Sally is a stunning brindle “low rider" of a female pit bull. Her pictures do not even begin to do her justice...because of her good looks her new family will need to keep a close on eye on her as not to be a target of theft. Along with her fabulous looks she has a warm, charming personality strong enough to melt even the hardest hearts.
She is now situated in her foster home and although they don’t always see eye to eye, she and Scout, the resident Schnauzer, have come to like each other and even play. Scout is still quite excited by her presence and loves Sally almost to the point of being annoying. Sally, on the other hand, really doesn’t care for that much attention. A slow introduction is always key for this breed. Mustang would love to live in a home with a nice quiet submissive male or to be the “only" in the family. She doesn't pay any attention to cats. Sally is working on walking on her gentle leader, along with sit, come and shake. She loves to please and is so excited when she gets the kong filled with peanut butter! I sometimes think she can’t believe how lucky she really is now that she is safe and loved. She obviously was abused by somebody.
Her foster family has allowed Sally to emerge from within and show her true loving nature at her own pace. Each day she feels more comfortable with her new life and the level of trust she has for humans is growing. She can be a bit shy in new situations, but doesn't take long for her to warm right up! Her favorite times of the day are morning and she greets each day with a big, bully smile, happy butt-wiggles and sometimes a hopping twirl. She also enjoys when “mom & dad” get home – Dad feeds her and Mom & Sally watch the Young & Restless and CUDDLE!!! After that it’s play time!! She actually has learned to play. The first time I threw a ball she looked at it and me like....”What?!”
Sally is completely house and crate trained. She is adult and kid friendly, loves tummy rubs, treats, and being brushed. She has been allowed on the bed and takes full advantage of it. Sally loves hugs and will give kisses in return. SEPR knows that someone will invite her into their heart and home furever!
