Ollie SEPR's goofball! ****ADOPTED****
Ollie was found as a stray in NW Cedar Rapids. He was fairly thin so he may have been on his own for a while. Ollie was a personal favorite of those at the shelter that cared for him as he is just so lovable, smart, and wants to please! He truly deserves a chance for some happiness and SEPR wanted to put some extra training into this wiggle butt pit bull to give him his happy ending!
Ollie is a big, lovable, boy around 1-2 years old and 50lbs. He would make a great addition to any family! He is content to sit beside you when you are sitting in a chair, or working at the computer. His real love is to “frog dog” on the couch beside you and have you rub his head or scratch under his chin.
Ollie lives in a house that is ruled by cats. He is learning that they always don’t want to play with him. The 16 year old “queen” cat wants nothing to do with him. He never tries to hurt them, just doesn’t understand why they wouldn’t want to be his friend. While Ollie does not live with other canines he has done well with the other females he has been introduced to.
Ollie has not met a person he does not like. He is learning to walk with a gentle leader. He enjoys taking his foster parents on walks every day. He does get excited sometimes when on the leash and will try to play tug of war with his leash/clothing. He has figured out that when he "tugs" it means outside fun time is over and he has to go into “time out”.
Ollie lives in a very busy house this time of year. He has gone camping with his foster family and did great, even though he tried to hog the bed and had a snoring contest with his foster dad. His family has started outdoor soccer practice, which means he gets to walk 3 miles around the soccer fields while the kids practice. Everyone is tired when they get home. Ollie is house trained and crate trained, and will go to the door when he has to go out. Ollie is a great traveler. He sits, or lounges on the seat in the car.
Ollie would do great in a busy on the go family - as he is always up for going for a car ride or a walk. On the other hand, he would also do well as a couch potato dog - as he is calm in the house and does not bark. Ollie is a young stud muffin just waiting for his happy ever after ending.. don't make him wait too long!!!
