As of December 31st my fiancé and I will have had Rain for 4 months, and I can’t tell if it feels like a few weeks or years. I just know that every time I walk in the door and hear her tail wagging, banging against the wall, and see her huge pittie smile that I’m home. Rain (AKA Rainy Roo, Roo, Little Girl, Bug or Missy, but only when she’s in trouble) may be an absolute mama’s girl, but she definitely has our personalities down pat! She know that when her daddy gets home that she gets to go out and run, dive and play, licking up snow here and accidentally snorting up snow there. When it’s warm enough our little Bug loves to play fetch and keep-away with her dad and maybe even play in her pool! But when she comes inside she’s her mother’s shadow, which is adorable until I’m almost tripping over her. Weekends are spent laying around with mom and dad and trying not to chase her brother, Leto, when he runs across the room. The highlights of her nights are when we play hide-and-go-seek, where her mommy hides and Roo has to find her (except she does almost instantly every time, which nearly ruins the fun), slobbering in your face with a huge “I FOUND YOU” smile. Her spunk and energy is endless, but so is her loyalty and her love which comes across every day as she whines while I get ready for work because I’m not petting her. She’s been an amazing addition to our just-starting family, and definitely keeps us on our toes, especially by how many toys that she “accidentally” rips apart on a weekly basis. She’s not just a pet, or even a “furry child” to us, but more of a companion because she’s always there the second you need her. While we’re still in our “honeymoon” phase, I already know that this phase of love and bliss is never going to end. The only question I ever end up asking myself is this: Who rescued who in this relationship? Nick and I may have brought her into a warm and loving home, but she brought us back to life and showed us that we could love even more than we originally thought. Thank you so much for finding this beautiful little girl for us, she makes our family whole again! Kind Regards, Nick, Brittany, Leto & Rain

One day I just happened to log onto the SEPR website and came across all the dogs and fell for a cute/chunky little puppy that I later found out was pending adaption after I filled out our application. In the mean time I spoke to my husband about getting a new puppy to see what his thoughts were, after hearing the puppy we were interested in was pending adoption I figured it was just not the right time to bring another dog into the family, but I couldn’t keep myself from logging on to the SEPR website daily some times more than once a day. Then I see this precious little puppy named Twix, our family was so excited to visit Petco on the 2nd of November as we thought we would get to meet this little man, but unfortunately his foster mother did not bring him, so we got a time set up for him to come meet us at our home and well we all fell in love with this little guy. Twix (Mr. T.) is such an amazing addition to our family and we are so happy that we are able to give him his forever home he loves his human sister and brother and his new dog sister! (she on the other hand is still figuring things out). We are truly thankful every day to SEPR and his foster family for brining Twix into our lives. ~ Heather and Remon |
