Hey there! I’m Rain. Or Rainy, Roo, or Little Bit. I’ve been here for 3 months now and I’ve settled in quite nicely. Foster mom says that I must have been in the house in my past life because I LOVE the bed and couches. Let me tell you about me…. I was in Iowa and kept getting loose, then put into doggie jail. My family stopped coming to get me- didn’t they realize I didn’t like to be outside alone? So SEPR took me in and gave me a home. I’ve been very busy since then.
I’ve learned my name and some commands (like sit, stay, wait, off and crate). I will do just about anything for a treat; my favorite so far is peanut butter flavored Pupcorn. Foster mom says that I need to get better at “stay” and that Pupcorn really helps. To be really honest, I’m really good at sit, down, off and crate- I know the rest, but I’m still trying to decide if I can “hear” mom when she tells me them. She must think my big ol’ ears are for hearing…. Crazy lady, they’re for looks!
I’m very playful and adore kids. Do you have any I can play with? I’ve been around kids (ages 3-8) and have done really well. I’m definitely a couch potato in the house, but I will bark to alert you of visitors. I cuddle on the couch and bed, but I like my own doggie bed and blankets too. I was really interested in the cats when I moved in, but Mom says that we don’t chase fuzzy things at her house… So I leave them alone now. My most favorite thing at
this house is the plastic kiddie pool that foster mom bought! It’s awesome! I roll in the water, spin in circles, leap out of it, run in the grass then take a flying leap back in the pool. Sometimes I get reminded that it’s Max’s pool
too- he’s my foster brother. I love my squeaky toys, Wubba, and peanut butter Kongs. I like to ride in the car and help with yard work. Foster mom says I have no fear- I do great with storms, vacuum cleaners and even the riding lawn mower. I’ll even let you give me a bath, touch my ears, teeth, tail and feet.
I love to wrestle with Max! He’s way bigger than me but that just means I’m faster and can take him out at the knees! We run like crazy dogs and chase each other. Sometimes I go so fast that my back feet skid out and then Max catches me. Then we roll all over each other and the lawn. After a good wrestling match with Max we like to cuddle on the couch. Foster dad calls me Little Bit (because I’m a little bitty thing), he plays fetch with me with the Frisbee and I’m learning “drop it”. And foster mom says that I’m a great running partner.
I’m one smart cookie who needs a forever home. Is that you? Contact SEPR right away then! Whatcha waitin’ for?
