Meet Romeo.. SEPR's newest incoming hunk. He is around 1-2 years old - 52lbs and thinks the world is his play ground. Romeo was picked up as a stray and is every ones stereotypical pit bull...he cannot get close enough or love anyone long enough. He has been introduced to dogs and cats and thus far nothing seems to phase Romeo. Oh did we mention he loves kids ....
Romeo is a kind and affectionate dog. True to his name, he is a young lover. He loves meeting new people and gets along well with everyone he meets. Some of his favorite things include, but are not limited to: cuddling, snoozing, being a couch potato, being petted, charming others, and doing anything for treats. He is a polite little gentleman and already knows how to sit, shake, and wait. He makes all sorts of cute snorting noises and very rarely whines or barks. In fact, he sounds more like a pig than a dog sometimes! Romeo loves being the center of attention, but is very polite about getting people’s attention. He works well as an alarm clock by gently nudging and licking a person into consciousness after a long night’s slumber.
Rome is house trained and crate trained. However, he’d rather be on the couch or curled up with a person, but after being in the crate for 10-15 minutes, he seems to forget why he was protesting and falls asleep, not making a peep. He likes going for walks, and even though he’s strong - walks like a champ with his gentle leader! He walks nicely and patiently at the side of his human companion.
Being a lover, he gives lots of kisses and is working on understanding that not all people like to be licked. Somehow, this small flaw is easy to overlook because he’s such a great dog in every other respect. Most people fall in love with Romeo at first sight. Seriously. You could be his Juliet. Anyone will be lucky to give this sweet boy his forever home. Romeo says he would like to live in a castle, but it’s not a requirement. William Shakespeare would be proud.
