Meet Timber! Timber can be a bit shy at first, but don’t let that fool you! He is a big, cuddly goofball who loves to make people laugh with his silly antics and bouncy run. Timber is an energetic boy, but he is also one of the most loyal dogs his foster family has ever had. He will relax if you are relaxing, or he will play if you are playing. Whatever you are doing, he would love to keep you company!
Timber is very curious and loves to be a part of everything the world has to offer. Timber loves car rides because he gets to see so much of the world around him. Timber also enjoys rope toys and loves playing fetch with squeaky toys. Timber loves to burn some of his puppy-like energy off by using a flirt pole. Sometimes Timber gets overly excited and bounces up on people, but he is working on controlling those springs of his! Most of the time he is so happy to be running around that he bounces along seemingly without a care in the world. After he's burned off some energy, though, Timber loves to cuddle up and love on his family.
Timber was initially a little shy and his more confident foster siblings really helped him come out of his shell. His foster family thinks that he has now gained enough confidence that he could do well with an active family as the only dog, or he could also enjoy a home with a medium-energy female to help him burn off his energy. Timber is a little too energetic for the cats in his foster home and the resident cats think it would be best if he went to a home without cats to tempt him into chasing.
Timber is great with kids! Timber takes his job as a “nanny dog” very seriously and never lets a cry go unattended or a happy squeal go unnoticed. Even though he is a big boy with a bouncy personality, he is very gentle around the little ones.
Timber listens really well and already knows a few basic commands such as sit, come, lay down, kennel up, and stay. Timber is still working on his “look” and “off” commands, but he a quick learner and gets better every day! Timber is housetrained and although he would love to be near his people all day every day, his canine siblings are helping him learn that his crate isn’t such a bad thing either. Timber is a very strong boy that sometimes doesn’t realize how big he is, but with the help of his gentle leader he has learned to walk nicely on a leash.
Timber has had a rough start to his life, but he is ready to forget all that and use his “sad puppy dog” eyes and forehead wrinkles solely for the purpose of stealing your heart and any leftover food you are willing to share! This loveable goofball is always doing his best to get a few laughs and would love to meet you to show you just what an amazing addition he could be to your family.
