Kiki and her mother Chanel found themselves sitting on death row in animal control. They had 1 day left before being put to sleep, and luckily SEPR was able to find a foster home for one of the girls. We couldn't stand the thought of leaving one behind.. so now in a crunch Chanel is safe in foster home, but SEPR still needs a foster home to help with daughter Kiki!!
Kiki is a friendly, high-spirited little girl who loves to meet new people and explore the world around her. She faces life head on. Kiki is a beautiful dog with some very unique brindle markings on her white coat. Looking into her eyes will melt your heart. Kiki is a pint size package with a huge heart of gold!
Kiki is fostered with other dogs. They do get along, but there is some competition for toys and treats. Her foster parents never leave toys out. They get toys and treats in their kennels. Kiki would do well in a home with a fun playful male canine companion, or by herself to have all the family fun! Kiki is fostered in a home that is ruled by cats. At first she was very afraid of the cats, now she thinks they are toys to chase. A home without felines is going to be best for her.
Kiki is a sweet dollie, and already knows some basic commands – sit, stay, speak, and kennel. Training is already beginning for her in her foster home. Kiki will sit and wait for her food and treats. She also knows how to sit and speak for a treat. Kiki loves to play outside. She walks very well with her gentle leader and will stay by your side when told. Kiki has had a good time playing in the snow with her toys. Her foster parents toss it in the air, and she will jump and run to catch it. With a little training, she would make a great Frisbee dog.
For all her energy, Kiki also loves to snuggle up beside you on the couch, or better yet, on your lap. She does travel in the car well. She likes to look out the window, or curl up in the back and take a nap. Kiki is house trained. She has never had an accident in her kennel or in the house. She is kenneled at night, and her foster parents are gone during the day. We put toys in with her and she is quiet and content. She does like to chew, rawhide bones and chew toys are a favorite of hers. Kiki is learning not to jump on people when she first meets them. Life is just so exciting she forgets her manners for a second. Usually one gentle reminder is all she needs. SEPR uses water spray bottle for corrections.
Kiki would make a great dog for a person or family that loves the outdoors. She is fun loving and has a lot of energy so she would like a forever family that is busy and on the go and willing to take her with. This cute punky brewster girl is just waiting for her forever family – come scoop her up now!
