further than ‘two dogs’. We took care of a few things on our bucket list that wouldn’t be as easy with multiple dogs around the house; a lot of work to the yard and a last-minute trip Europe. When we got back our search started
immediately. We weren’t really pro or anti pit bull - mostly indifferent; we just wanted to do what we could with dogs that shouldn’t be separated. SEPR had two pairs of pits looking for a home that needed to come as a pair - we met those pairs at an adoption day, and after flip-flopping for the better course of the afternoon, we decided on Cesar & Aluna. Within days everything here
started to feel like home again, hearing those “happy tails” hitting the walls when you get home and the thunder of the two of them coming down the stairs when someone gets home just melts our hearts. The pair claimed their sofa, and we’ve barely seen it since :-) During the few months we were without a dog, we made note of how large our house felt with just the two of us, once Cesar & Aluna joined us we stopped thinking that :-) Even though our grass will never be perfect again due to impromptu races in the backyard, the joy we get from seeing these two play makes ‘green enough’, good enough. The pair are doing great and we look forward to spending years as a happy pack
